BACKGROUND:

In 2004, while cruising around in Laconia, NH, my buddy and I deciding to stop to get a bite to eat, and so we parked our bikes like anyone normally would, never thinking twice about it. However, when we came out of the restaurant our jaws dropped at the site of my custom motorcycle deciding to do the same, laying on the ground. Who would have ever imagined that my kickstand sunk right into the hot asphalt? Some chipped paint, broken [off] mirror, and a scratched primary cover later I got home and started looking around to see if there were any measures I could take to prevent this from happening again. I found a few products and even ordered one. But when I received it, it was too large to carry with us on my bike. There was nothing out there portable enough, unless you are riding with saddle bags, which isn't everyone. With that, the brain began to storm, and ideas flowed on how to make something reliable enough to keep even the meanest of motorcycles upright all the time, as well as compact enough to be able to take it everywhere you go. DESCRIPTION:

STAND GUARD™ is the smallest and most compact motorcycle kickstand plate on the market. Designed with comfort and protection in mind, STAND GUARD™ is made from 3/16" sheet metal, with finishes as equally nice to compliment your bike's style - select from Diamond Plate or Brushed Steel options, with more options coming soon! It works by simply sliding STAND GUARD™ under your extended kickstand, allowing your kickstand to rest evenly on the STAND GUARD's surface.
